Explore under the sea with BCMI Hatchery Tours

Take a peek under the waves this WoW Fest with a free BCMI Hatchery tour that is bound to enchant both children and adults alike.

Batavia Coast Maritime Institute is home to a colourful variety of sea life, including baby Clownfish and Royal Gramma Fish, as well as the more unique creatures of the deep like Leafy Seadragons and Seahorses.

Keen anglers will also spot a few familiar species, with BCMI currently breeding bigger fish such as Pink Snapper.

Each tour goes for around 45 minutes, where Tourism students and will lead you through the hatchery as well as the greenhouse. There are currently five timeslots set aside for WoW Fest, with the first tour starting at 10am and the last one commencing at 2pm.

Tour 3 12pm-1pm
Tour 4 1pm-2pm
Tour 5 2pm-3pm

PS. You’ll be required to arrive 15 minutes early for the tour and must also be wearing closed in shoes, so make sure you switch your pluggers for something more durable!
